81, aka “Mama”, was born on September 8, 1931 in Aguascalientes, Mexico. She entered into eternal peace on April 4, 2013 at her residence in Goleta. Mama married José Moran and migrated to the United States in 1957.
Shortly thereafter, she began a family. Mama continued her life by raising 3 children, while working 2 jobs and becoming a master of property management. She taught everyone f her descendants all the aspects of becoming a successful property owner including painting, gardening, patching, fixing, and whatever else it took.
From 1977 to 1980, Mama invested her money in rebuilding her church in Mexico. It sorrowed her to see her church in such poor conditions. Mama was an avid bingo player, a Jacuzzi lover, and a “no cold water please” bath taker. You either loved her or learned to love her. After years of very hard work and dedication, our “Mama” passed with the satisfaction of her success.
Mama is survived by her daughters, Josephina and Senaida Moran; grandchildren, Gilbert, Jessica. Fernando, Diane, Marissa, David, Kristen and Mallory; great grandchildren, Alanna, Sarina, Mikey and Jade; godson, Luis; siblings, Cristobal, Deonicio, Teofilo, Petra, Dolores and Micaela Lopez; and countless other family members. She was predeceased by her son, Gabriel Moran and her brothers, Rodrigo, Manuel, Luis, and Mario Lopez.
The Rosary Service will be held on Monday, April 15, 2013, 7:00 p.m., at Holy Cross Church and the Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, April 16, 10:00 a.m., also at Holy Cross, followed by interment at Goleta Cemetery.
