Died peacefully at Serenity House on Dec 22 2012. Tor was born Jan 22, 1963 with his twin sister Anne Marie, to Thorvald Myklebust and Aud N. Myklebust in Altadena, Ca.He spent his first 10 yrs in Altadena before the family moved to Goleta, Ca.
He began his education in mechanics with his father, and at Dos Pueblos HS, earning the award of Most Outstanding Industrial Arts student his senior yr. He graduated from Universal Technical Institute in Phoenix, AZ in 1982, studying automotive technology. He became a Master Diagnostic Tech for Toyota, for the past 26 yrs, he was a finalist in Toyota Master Technician Contests in 1997 and 2000. Tor built several Muscle cars in his life, as well as sport motorcycles.
Tor was predeceased by his father Thorvald in 1984 and his beloved dog Hailey in 2012. Tor is survived by his mother, Aud and his sister Anne. He is going to be dearly missed by his wonderful friends, Amy Singelman, Mark bales and Jim Quinlan, whom were constantly at his side during his illness. Tor was an extremely kind, gentle and compassionate man with a huge heart of gold.
A memorial will be held at Goleta Beach Park; on 16th of Feb starting at 1pm. Donations can be made to Serenity House of S.B. or DAWG in his honor.
