GOLETA Starting The Goleta City Council will start its meetings at 5:30 p.m., with closed session taking place at 4 p.m., starting Oct. 1.
With the change in start time, city officials are hopeful that more people will be able to participate. The current start time for meetings is 1:30 p.m. for the afternoon session and 6 p.m. for the evening session.
Meetings will continue to be held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month. Meetings can be watched live in person at City Hall, 130 Cremona Drive, Suite B, or streamed live or anytime online. In addition, viewers can watch live on Channel 19. The meetings are rebroadcast at 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. on Wednesdays.
