It was high-fives all around at the NRA after the senseless slaughter of 11 innocent people in Virginia. These regularly scheduled mass murders are called fundraisers at the NRA. There is nothing better for business.
The NRA will again spring into action by extending “thoughts and prayers” to the victims. It’s getting harder and harder for this organization to do this without giggling. Next come the fear-mongering ads about Second Amendment rights.
Finally, the NRA will clearly restate it’s core mission: “We remain committed to ensuring that future mass murderers remain able to obtain any weapons they want, anytime they want them, with no government oversight.”
