SANTA MARIA Approximately 330 barrels of produced water and four to five barrels of crude oil spilled Friday at the Bell Lease oil facility, 7320 Palmer Road, authorities said.
The Santa Barbara County Fire Department was notified of the spill at about 11:45 a.m. Friday. Crews arrived and confirmed the release of the water and oil, which was contained to the location of the pad and was not affecting any waterways, said Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, fire spokesman.
An oil and gas specialist was called to the scene to initiate the cleanup.
