GOLETA One person was killed and another person was injured in a single-vehicle rollover crash Saturday afternoon on Highway 101 west of Goleta, authorities said.
The crash was reported at approximately 12:45 p.m. on the southbound side of the highway just south of Dos Pueblos Ranch. Arriving units reported a single-vehicle rollover with two patients trapped inside, said Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, spokesman for the Santa Barbara County Fire Department.
One victim was declared dead at the scene. The other suffered moderate injuries and was transported via ground ambulance to a local hospital, Capt. Bertucelli said.
Traffic restrictions were in place for a time following the crash. The California Highway Patrol is investigating.
