Healthy Lompoc Coalition, facilitated by the Lompoc Valley Community Healthcare Organization, will host the theme night for the Lompoc Valley Chamber of Commerce Old Town Market from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday. The theme night, titled “Healthy Lompoc Night,” will replace the annual Open Streets Lompoc event, hosted along Ocean Avenue for the past two years.
Residents are encouraged to ride, skate, roll, walk or scoot down to South H Street for the fun. Mayor Janelle Osborne will lead a bicycle “Ride with the Mayor” starting at Stone Pine Hall at 4 p.m. Participants must wear helmets. To preregister, visit http://bit.ly/LompocMayorRideHL2019.
The Santa Barbara Bicycle Coalition will assist with the ride and host a free bicycle valet to provide guarded bicycle parking.
At 6 and 7 p.m. the community can “Walk with a Doc” around the Stone Pine Walk and downtown Lompoc.
The YMCA will be hosting a kids’ zone in Centennial Park. The community can also pick up fresh vegetables at the farmers market during the Old Town Market sponsored by the Chumash Casino Resort.
