Nine Santa Barbara area artists are featured in the exhibition “Looking Inward,” through Aug. 26 at 10 West Gallery, 10 W. Anapamu St. They are Iben G. Vestergaard, Stuart Ochiltree, Rick Doehring, Penny Arntz, Mary Neville, Patrick McGinnis, Courtney Rochelle, Emily Van Horn and Karen Lehrer.
10 West has three guest artists this month: Ms. Rochelle, with close-up photographs of tree bark that have been duplicated, rotated and mounted side by side, creating unique graphic designs; Ms. Van Horn has loose, acrylic canvases that strike colorful notes of joy and introspection; and Ms. Lehrer has layered paintings that incorporate the colors of the earth and sky, the seasons and mark-making that are timeless.
