Retired Navy Captain Robert Dunlap Pace Jr., 88, of Santa Barbara, sailed into eternal peace on April 24, 2013. The funeral service will be held on June 10, 2013 at 9:30am at The Santa Barbara Cemetery.
Born January 29, 1925 in Long Beach to navel officer Robert Dunlap Pace Sr., and the formally Isabella Marshall. The Captain was devoted to his beautiful wife Dawn Stewart and recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary. Dedicated to his family and country he gave 32 years of service, 25 of which were foreign and at sea service. The Captain is survived by his wife Dawn, son Robert D. Pace III, daughters Loren Elizabeth, and Jennifer Stewart Pace Klein, his beloved siblings Janie Maye Rempel and Noel Pace, and his grandchildren. He was an amazing man beloved by all. May he rest in peace.
