SANTA BARBARA The National Association of Corporate Directors Pacific Southwest Chapter will be hosting a panel discussion next month.
The panel, titled “Aspiring to be a Corporate Director: Securing a Corporate Board Role,” will be held from 5 to 7:30 p.m. March 12 at The Ritz-Carlton Bacara, Santa Barbara, 8301 Hollister Ave. It will include Karen Bogart, Melanie Cibik, Walter Delph, and Raymond Link, with moderate Kim Hunter, according to a news release.
Attendees will have the chance to learn about joining corporate boards and how to advance boardroom diversity. The panel will address board director roles and responsibilities, informational resources, and what companies look for in prospective board members. In addition, the panel will identify key development experiences needed to be a board director, as well as outline pathways to the boardroom through the experience of both seasoned and new directors and members of the Nominating & Governance Committee.
A reception with food and beverage will be provided directly following the panel discussion. Tickets are $50 for NACD members of $75 for non-members.
