Panda has a lot of love for people, dogs and, of course, her toys.
The intelligent border collie is awaiting adoption at Santa Ynez Valley Humane Society in Buellton.
Panda, who’s about 4 years old, was rescued from a Bakersfield sanctuary along with 26 other dogs after the sanctuary owner died.
She loves canines, big and small, and did well on a pack walk with other dogs at the humane society shelter. Understandably, as a bigger dog who didn’t have previous experience with leash work, she pulled a little.
Panda would do best in a home with kids who can hold their own and respect her boundaries.
Besides enjoying toys in general, she loves to chew on Kongs. She would thrive in a home with many things to do.
To meet Panda, visit the humane society at 111 Commerce Drive in Buellton. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Mondays through Saturdays. For more information, contact the society at 805-688-8224 or info@syvhumane.org or go to www.syvhumane.org.
