LOMPOC The Lompoc Police Department is investigating a fatal stabbing that occurred Saturday afternoon near North 4th Street.
At approximately 3:12 p.m. Feb. 8, police were dispatched to the area on a report of a person who suffered a stab wound and was not breathing or moving. Officers responded and located the victim, who was declared deceased at the scene, according to a department news release.
The victim’s identity was withheld pending next of kin notification. No victims had been identified as of Saturday night, police said.
