LOMPOC Power lines caused a two-acre brush fire Saturday in the 3600 block of Harris Grade Road, authorities said.
“An electrical component failure resulted in an energized power line contacting the ground and igniting the fire,” Capt. Daniel Bertucelli of the Santa Barbara County Fire Department said in a news release Monday.
The Harris Fire was reported around 12:45 p.m. Saturday. The county Fire Department’s response included a pair of air tankers and a helicopter and the fire was stopped by 2:30 p.m., Capt. Bertucelli said.
No structures were threatened and no injuries were reported.
