
GOLETA Portions of southbound Highway 101 will be closed during overnight hours this week for drainage work.
From 8 p.m. Jan. 30 to 6 a.m. Jan. 31, the southbound No. 1 and No. 2 lanes will be closed from Fairview to Patterson avenues. Caltrans will be adding two drainage inlets on the south shoulder of the highway. The roadwork will also include a grind and pave operation, according to a news release.
Motorists traveling south may exit the 101 at Patterson Avenue. Delays should not exceed 15 minutes and drivers are reminded to move over and slow down when driving through highway construction zones.
Lane and ramp closures will continue from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, officials said.
