Born February 24, 1933 to Fermon and Frankie (Limback) Schultz in Hammond, IN. She married William Ray in 1950. Together they raised two daughters. Luella pursued a career as a housewife and mother for most of her life, but did work outside the home at times at Shaw’s Candy, Yarn Barn, and as a private duty home health aide. Her volunteer activities included leadership roles in P.T.A., Camp Fire Girls and Girl Scouts; precinct work for the Republican Party, and needlework instruction at the Santa Barbara Center of the Braille Institute of America.
Luella was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and three other siblings. She is survived by her daughters Nancy Brown (Edora, KS), and Sheri Ray (Ventura), one sister, and one grandson.
Services will be held at St. Andrews Presbyterian Church on Sunday, January 27, at 1:00PM. The church is located at 4575 Auhay Dr., Santa Barbara. Memorial donations may be made to the church.
