SANTA BARBARA COUNTY Caltrans District 5 announced Friday that an open house planned for April 2 regarding a proposed bridge replacement project on Highway 101 near Refugio Road has been cancelled in attempts to slow the spread of COVID-19.
The project includes replacing the bridges on each side of the 101 undercrossing, which is located roughly eight miles west of the city of Goleta. Though the meeting has been cancelled, the public comment period has been extended to May 20, according to officials.
