Passed away peacefully at Senior Living Concepts on July 13, 2013 at the age of 84 in Santa Barbara. Florence was born February 7, 1929 and raised in Santa Barbara, by her parents Elario (Larry) and Stella Ruiz. She was married/widowed to David (Dick) Rivera. Florence is survived by her brother David “Butch” Ruiz, her three children, Peggy Beavers (Joe), David “Bear” Rivera (Stacey), and Linda Szumski (Brian) and her grandchildren: Ch ris tin a, Mike, Crys tal, Lau ra, Nicko las , Kaitlyn, Shelby, Brian, Blake, and Brandon. Great Grandchildren: Makayla, Kailee, Hunter, Ava, and Cash, waiting to be born.
Florence enjoyed spending time with her family and had a great love for BINGO. She will be greatly missed by all and will always be in our hearts and memories. We love you Mom, Grandma, Grandma-walker and Nani.
Life Celebration will be held Sat. July 27th at 12:00 noon at her home on 1231 E. Mason Street.
