Josephine “Josie” was born and raised i n Carpinteria, California. She married Samuel Salazar and had nine children. She loved being outside working in the garden or relaxing in the shade. She loved meeting new people and talking to everyone she came in contact with. Her smile brightened your day and she was loved by everyone who knew her. She is survived by her children George (Lori), Josie (Ernie), Linda (Jim), Dolly (Frank), Groucho, Ana (Manuel), Rosie and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sons Ruben and Anthony. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 20, 2013 at Calvary Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. followed by a celebration of her life.
