SANTA BARBARA Two art organizations have supported the Santa Barbara International Film Festival with more than $60,000.
Washington, D.C.-based National Endowment for the Arts granted $35,000 to SBIFF for the 2019 festival and an annual youth summer film program called Film Camp, which will take place from June 16-21.
The California Arts Council also granted SBIFF two awards: $14,400 which will go to the year-round educational screening program Mike’s Field Trip to the Movies and $12,040 of which will be applied towards Film Camp.
“We’re honored and extremely grateful to receive this level of support from organizations both at the federal and state level,” said SBIFF Executive Director Roger Durling.
The 35th edition of SBIFF is slated to take place Jan. 15-25 of next year.
