The Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History has brought on Terrence Valeski as their new board of trustees chair. Mr. Valeski has been a part of the Museum’s board for the past six years, where he previously served as SBMNH’s vice chair of finance.
“I am especially pleased to accept a leadership role on the board of (SBMNH),” Mr. Valeski said in a news release.
Mr. Valeski joined the Museum’s board of trustees in 2014. Prior to his work with SBMNH, Mr. Valeski worked with several boards, both public and private, though his career began in advertising.
After graduating from the University of Arizona, Mr. Valeski pursued a long advertising career and later served at several major telecommunications companies in Europe.
Other members of SBMNH’s 2020 board include Chris Knowlton as Immediate Past Chair, Chris Blau as Vice Chair for Development, Carolyn Chandler as Vice Chair for Governance, Salvatore “Tory” Milazzo as Vice Chair for Finance, Elaine Gibson as Secretary and Brad Willis as Member-at-Large.
