
Santa Barbara’s Deacon Hill has been awarded the Offensive MVP award in the Channel League, while teammate Noach Wood was named the Defensive MVP for the league in 2019.
The Dons coaching staff was named Varsity Staff of the Year, and junior Ty Montgomery was named the Utility Player of the Year.
Santa Barbara’s Joshua Rosales and Tyler Germani, of Santa Ynez, were named Co-Defensive Linemen of the Year. Lompoc’s Jacob Nunez, who has committed to Arizona State University, was awarded the league’s Offensive Lineman of the Year.
Hill led Santa Barbara (11-3, 5-0 in league play) to a Channel League title this season, the team’s first outright league championship since 2001. He threw for more than 2,000 yards and had 22 touchdown passes during the regular season, while also leading Santa Barbara to the CIF-SS Div. 8 final against Sunny Hills.
Wood and Rosales were key players for the Santa Barbara defense, which had three other starters receive first-team honors. Four offensive starters for the Dons also received first-team honors.
Lompoc had seven defensive players and six offensive players named to the First-Team.
