SANTA MARIA The City of Santa Maria Public Library is hosting a succulent exchange from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on June 15.
According to a City news release, the succulent exchange will be presented in the Lavagnino Plaza, located in front of the Library. This event is free and open to all ages.
The library asks that guests please bring pest-free clippings of favorite succulents to trade and share with other succulent lovers, and to take the opportunity to exchange tips.
“Succulents are an eco-friendly and water-smart gardening concept. Succulents are easy to grow, and require minimal watering and maintenance. They come in a variety of colors, shapes, and sizes to fit into people’s busy lifestyles,” said City spokesperson Mark van de Kamp.
Questions may be directed to the Library’s Information Desk, 925-0994 extension 8562.
