LOMPOC A second man has been charged in being an accessory in the fatal shooting of 18-year-old Sarah Stoffle earlier this month.
Santa Barbara County District Attorney Joyce Dudley announced the amended felony complaint Wednesday in the case against Brenden Michael Terry, 20, of Lompoc. The amended complaint adds Robert James Scott, 23, of Lompoc, as a co-defendant.
It is also alleged that Mr. Scott was previously released on bail or on his own recognizance in a previously filed unrelated felony matter.
Mr. Scott appeared in Santa Maria Superior Court Wednesday and pleaded not guilty. Judge James Voysey set bail at $1 million and continued the matter for preliminary hearing on April 23 in Lompoc Superior Court.
Mr. Terry was charged with murder on March 30 in connection with the March 25 shooting.
