SANTA MARIA The city of Santa Maria has released a new online zoning map with search tools to make zoning information more convenient, officials said Friday.
The online map is designed to help businesses, residents, developers and real estate agents identify zoning classifications for any of 24,601 properties, according to a city news release.
“Users can access zoning information by specific address or by parcel number. The map will zoom in to provide the address, zoning code, description of the code, parcel identification number and the acreage,” the news release reads.
What is depicted online is subject to change, officials cautioned. Prior to making final business decisions, users should contact the proper city departments to ensure no modifications have been made to zoning requirements.
The free resource is on the city’s website at https://findmyzoning.cityofsantamaria.org/.Users can also go to www.cityofsantamaria.org and at the top of the homepage, click on Maps.
Questions may be directed to the Community Development Department, 925-0951, ext. 2369. This online zoning map is a collaborative effort of Community Development Department and geographic information systems staff.
