
On April 11, 2013 at six P.M. at the Serenity House, with her husband, Bill, for sixty-five, at her side, Nita passed on to our Lord. She was born in Manhattan N.Y. on December 26, 1928.
She was raised on a dairy farm in Cazenovia N.Y. At 18 she went out on her own to Brooklyn N.Y. She moved into a very large house, which she shared with three nurses. One day she answered the phone and spoke with Bill, who wanted to take one of the nurses to a dance. No one was home, so he took her to the dance and kismet! Three months later they were married. She had three daughters. One daughter Teri Handler passed on with MS. She also has two beloved daughters, Barbara Negro and Lee Fleming along with twelve grand children and five Great grand children.
A viewing was held on Monday at WELCH-RYCE-HAIDER FUNERAL CHAPEL at 15 E Sola St. Santa Barbara, CA, Monday 1 to 5 PM. The following day Tuesday she will be buried at the S.B. Cemetery at ten AM.
