Supporting her sophomore album “The Pains of Growing,” Canadian singer and songwriter Alessia Cara’s tour of the same name is stopping by Santa Barbara for a performance at the Granada Theatre on November 9. Hailing from Brampton, Ontario, Ms. Cara burst onto the music scene in 2015 with the release of the single “Here,” described in the bio on the singer’s website as “the musings of a disenchanted teenage partygoer who longs not for popularity but for the couch and comfy clothes.” This led up to the release of her debut album “Know-it-All,” which she followed up in 2016 with a number a one hit single “Scars to Your Beautiful.” In the time between her debut and “The Pains of Growing,” Ms. Cara has collaborated with artists such as Zedd and Logic, featuring on their respective songs “Stay” and “1-800-273-8255.” She lent her voice to the Lin-Manuel Miranda-penned song “How Far I’ll Go,” which was featured in the animated Disney film “Moana.” Where: Granada Theatre; When: 7:30 p.m., tomorrow; Tickets: $31.50-$61.50; Information: granadasb.org or (805) 899-2222.
