When YouTuber, actor, comedian, and singer Colleen Ballinger performs at the Granada Theatre on December 14, she will be appearing as her polar opposite, Miranda Sings, in the program “Miranda Sings- Who Wants My Kid.” According to the tour’s Facebook page, Miranda Sings was conceived on Ms. Ballinger’s YouTube channel as a parody of “young, self-absorbed singers with far more confidence (and vibrato) than talent” who she saw uploading videos to YouTube. The character’s notoriety grew when comedian Jerry Seinfeld asked Ms. Ballinger to appear in his series “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” and she later appeared on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon.” Ms. Ballinger can also be seen as Miranda Sings in her Netflix original series “Haters Back Off,” which she executive produced, and in her one-hour special “Miranda Sings Live… Your Welcome.”
