We knew her when, and then and now: Jazz bassist-vocalist Kristin Korb launched her career while in Los Angeles, working with Ray Brown and many other Southern California jazz notables starting in the ’90s, and periodically performing at SOhO. Although she moved to Denmark in 2011, she has returned to SOhO on several occasions, the next of which is this Sunday’s convening of the Santa Barbara Jazz Society. A skillful, swinging bassist with an attractive voice and an organic feel for scatting, Ms. Korb is a multiple talent, as heard on her growing discography, the latest being last year’s Christmas-themed “That Time of Year,” preceded by the strong, standards-bolstered 2016 set “Beyond the Moon.” At SOhO she will be joined by her musical brother Andy Korb on piano and drummer Andy Langham — her L.A. go-to comrades. Sunday from 1 to 3:30 p.m. SOhO, 1221 State St. (upstairs) Tickets are $15 for SBJS members, $ for nonmembers, $7 for local jazz musicians with membership, and $5 for full-time students. 962-7776, www.sohosb.com.
