Singer-songwriter Pete Muller is debuting his new album, “Dissolve,” on Tuesday at SOhO, showcasing work that was produced by Emmy-winning and Grammy-nominated Rob Mathes, who has worked with the likes of Sting, Rod Stewart and Carly Simon. Muller’s career has also featured running an investment firm he called Process Driven Trading, a blend of math and computers to help with his own trading. However, his love for music was overwhelming, as the New Jersey native played jazz piano and studied math at Princeton, and recorded two albums in 2002 and 2004. He eventually blended his two careers, helping Berklee College of Music acquire New York’s Avatar Studios. Muller is a man of many talents, having a crossword puzzle published by multiple news organizations, while also making the final table at the World Series of Poker. When: 7:30 p.m., Tuesday; Where: SOhO (1221 State Street, Santa Barbara); Information: www.sohosb.com (must RSVP to event) or (805) 962-7776.
