
The UCSB women’s basketball team will look to rebound from a tough loss to San Jose State on Friday, hosting undefeated USC at the Thunderdome today at 7 p.m.
The visiting Trojans are playing their third road contest in four games, having beaten two other Big West teams — Cal State Northridge (69-53) and UC Riverside (76-59). In between, USC beat Virginia, 59-49.
The Gauchos are led by Danae Miller, who is coming off a career-high 31 points in the loss to the Spartans. Miller is averaging 35.7 minutes through three games, six minutes more than anyone else on the roster.
Freshman Ila Lane is the only other player to be averaging double figures in points at 11 per game, shooting 68.4% from the field.
USC’s Aliyah Jeune, Stephanie Watts, Endyia Rogers and Desiree Caldwell all average double-digit points, led by Jeune’s 15 per game.
