A 26-year old man was found unconscious Saturday afternoon in the 19 Oaks Trail area about a mile from the Upper Oso Campground near Paradise Road, authorities said.
Santa Barbara County Fire Department crews responded round 1:52 p.m. The patient, who was reportedly participating in an endurance race, was moved to a location where county fire helicopter paramedics could reach him. said Capt. Daniel Bertucelli, county fire spokesman.
The man was packed and hoisted into the helicopter, then was transported to Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital. His condition was not available Saturday night, Capt. Bertucelli said.
