
SANTA MARIA The Santa Maria Police Department has identified the two victims from a fatal shooting that occurred earlier this month as Roberto Alcala Ramirez, 64, and Zoila Reyna Ramirez, 58.
On Jan. 16, police were called to a residence in the 800 block of West Creston. Upon arrival, officers located two deceased adults who each sustained a gunshot wound. The preliminary investigation indicated a murder-suicide and the victims were identified as husband and wife, according to authorities.
The department’s Detective Bureau is continuing its investigation and is still attempting to identify a motive. Anyone with information related to the investigation is asked to contact Detective Silver at 805-928-3781 ext. 1346.
