
November 1, 1924 – February 12, 2013 Age 88, died peacefully at home in Santa Fe, New Mexico. After serving in the U.S. Air Force during World War II, he attended UCLA, where he received his PhD in Mathematics in 1950. Stanley’s career was varied, from defense analyst to potter. Stanley is survived by Ruth, his wife of 68 years, their children Lynn (Peter Hofstra) of Santa Fe, and Robyn (Samuel) Barst of Scarsdale, NY, grandchildren Nomi, Lindsey, Peer, and Lily, and great-grandson Tobias. A devoted husband and father, he relished challenges and fought for the truth. Often outwardly cantankerous, he held a kind and loving heart.
