Abram Carrasco took home the top Golden State Athletic Conference award, the league announced Tuesday, as the junior guard won MVP.
Carrasco averaged 20.8 points per game during GSAC play to top the conference, while his 5.1 assists per game ranked second. For the season, Carrasco is averaging 18.8 points per contest.
Head coach John Moore also took home some hardware, winning his third Coach of the Year honor during his tenure. Moore, who won his 550th game this season, led Westmont to its first GSAC regular-season title since 2013 thanks to a 15-3 record in conference play.
Senior forward Justin Bessard also earned recognition, earning a spot on the 12-player All-GSAC team. Bessard is second on the team in scoring, averaging 14.7 points per game, while he leads the team with 6.7 rebounds per contest.
