
58, better know as “Boeff”, passed away December 27, 2013, at his home in Santa Barbara, CA. He was born on Sept 1, 1955, at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio, to Vivian R. Mees-Williams and Roderick S. Williams.
Jon attended Eastmoor High School where he was a standout athlete, playing with his lifelong friend, Archie Griffin, the only college player to win the Heisman Trophy two times. Jon continued playing football at Coalinga College before moving to Santa Barbara where he earned degrees in Computer Science and Airframe Mechanics. He later moved to the Bay Area in search of greater opportunity and became a Registered Nurse. Jon returned to Santa Barbara for the last ten years and was living in the place he loved most.
Known among friends for his huge heart, positive attitude, great generosity, passion, his larger than life physique and his ear-to-ear smile, Jon is survived by his brother Chris Williams of Sunbury, Ohio, nephews Sean Williams and Ryan Williams of Columbus and Powell, Ohio as well as an Aunt and Uncle Charles and Charlotte Evans of Colorado Springs, CO., cousins Bobby Evans of Colorado Springs and Michael Mees of Modesto, CA., and a multitude of friends.
A sunset memorial service will be held at his beloved Butterfly Beach in Santa Barbara, CA at 3:30pm PST on Saturday, January 4, 2014. Friends can email cmw347@gmail.com with questions.
