Police are seeking a woman caught on tape stealing a package from a Hope Ranch home.

HOPE RANCH The Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying a woman accused of stealing a package valued at over $2,000 from a home Tuesday evening in the 900 block of Via Rosita in Hope Ranch.
At approximately 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, a woman pulled to the front gate of the home and stole a package that had been delivered a short time earlier. The theft was caught on tape by a Ring Doorbell camera, said Lt. Erik Raney, sheriff’s spokesman.
The camera footage showed the suspect pulling to the gate in a dark-colored newer model four-door vehicle similar to a Ford Focus with the license plates removed.
The suspect was wearing a dark hat and sunglasses and blue rubber gloves. She retrieved the package and fled the area, Lt. Raney said.
