
James L. Worley was born November 22, 1918 in Washington Court House, Ohio. He passed away at his daughter’s home in El Dorado, CA on April 8, 2013. Jim served with the U.S.Army in the Philippines during WWII and earned two Bronze Stars. He and his surviving wife Florence lived in Santa Barbara, CA for over fifty years, where they raised their four children: Regis Worley, Jane Williamson, Janine Pypers, and Jennifer Worley. They have had five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Jim was an avid bicyclist, riding 120 miles per week well into his 80’s. He volunteered for many years with Braille Institute’s riding program for the blind.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, April 18th at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery, Dixon, CA
