
85. Born Dimple Lee Lanning in Amarillo, Texas on 10/3/1927, passed away at Serenity House on June 12, 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents Marvin Lanning and Mary Wagner, brother Tac Lanning, sisters Dorothy Spafford and Linda Polk and son Lanny Wright. She is survived by her sister Carol Richards, son Billy Keith Wright and his wife Rebecca, seven grand children and 6 great grandchildren.
She loved family and shaped her life spiritually and served faithfully as a Christian. She liked to draw and play the piano. At the Air Base in Amarillo she danced and did the hula to entertain the troops. She moved to Dalhart, Texas where she graduated from high school and worked at J.C. Penny’s. She moved to Santa Barbara in the mid 50’s. She worked for the Enterprise Laundry and then Bank of America where she retired. We will remember her words “I love you a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck.”
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, June 24, 2013 at Santa Barbara Cemetery.
